Due to Natnaree's miro teaching on 20th October 2014, I had found that her teaching was very interesting. She used the authentic materials to attract students' interest. The lesson related to the health problems. It was useful for the students to learn something from the real ones. However, her micro teaching consists of useful techniques and the things that she needed to improve.
Natnarre began her teaching by
greeting the students. Then she asked students the question about health problems.
Afterwards, she gave worksheet to the students about herbs and
health problems. Next, she taught students the vocabulary by playing the audio for students to repeat and pronounce. Then it was the game. She called “Smell and Touch”, she divided students into two
groups and came in front of the class to play game. Next, she played the video about
some situation a man and a doctor. After that, she
asked students “What wrong with him?” In the task circle, she gave student to match the pictures
of herbs with the health problems that they can be used to treat. Lastly, language focus was about auxiliary : should for suggestions about health problems.
In conclusion, Natnaree Saiwijit’s miro teaching was one of good lessons. She used
authentic materials such as Thai herbs, word cards, picture cards, all of these
are very good. There were many
activities for the students to learn. However, I think that it will be better if she uses the classroom language clearer, because some of her classroom language was not clear enough for the students to understand.
